WMG press release from 25.06.2019

2nd Commercial Real Estate Partner Meeting on June 24.

Wolfsburg, 25.06.2019 - Wolfsburg offers a very strong office market with a low vacancy rate and plenty of potential - this is the conclusion of the new Wolfsburg Office Market Report, which was presented on June 24, 2019. To mark the occasion, the business development department of Wolfsburg Wirtschaft und Marketing GmbH (WMG), together with Sparkasse Gifhorn-Wolfsburg, hosted the second commercial real estate partner meeting. Around 50 participants from the fields of real estate investment and financing, project development, as well as brokers, investors and construction companies and representatives of the city administration exchanged views on current topics and developments on the Wolfsburg real estate market.

The main focus of the network meeting at the Leonardo Hotel was the presentation of the office market report: On behalf of WMG, the independent Berlin-based real estate analysis company bulwiengesa AG compiled and analyzed the key parameters of Wolfsburg's office and commercial real estate market in a comprehensive inventory and data analysis. Andreas Schulten, chief representative of bulwiengesa AG, presented the 40-page report on Monday evening. It contains important data on locations and prices on the Wolfsburg office market and provides regional players and investors with recommendations for action and outlooks for Wolfsburg as a business location.

"Wolfsburg's real estate market is already very attractive for business operators and still offers great potential for further development. This is where the office market report comes in: It shows the dynamics of the business location and gives interested parties a precise overview of the market, its potential and trends," explained Jens Hofschröer, Managing Director of WMG.

Thomas Werner, head of the Economic Development department at WMG, added: "The results of the analysis prove that we have been experiencing increasing demand and falling vacancy rates for office properties in Wolfsburg for years and can also expect high demand in the future. The report confirms our empirical values and helps us to provide the right impetus for the further development of the location."

The partner meeting was rounded off by a contribution from Kai-Uwe Hirschheide, Wolfsburg's city planning officer, who informed the guests about the current status of the Nordhoff axis master planning. Dennis Weilmann, Head of Economics of the City of Wolfsburg, explained: "Projects such as the new Nordhoff axis or #WolfsburgDigital demonstrate the high innovative strength of Wolfsburg as a business location. At the same time, economic development also requires targeted development of the real estate market."

The Wolfsburg Office Market Report is available now and can be downloaded at http://www.wmg-wolfsburg.de/publikationen.html.
