From Alvar Aalto to Zaha Hadid - discover architecture in Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg is one of the very few newly founded cities of the 20th century. On July 1, 1938, the city was founded for the new Volkswagen plant under the name "City of the KdF Car". It developed its face between 1950 and 1970, and the urban planning models of these early decades of the city's history still characterize the cityscape today. In addition, there are outstanding individual buildings by Alvar Aalto, Hans Scharoun and Zaha Hadid.

The Forum Architektur der Stadt Wolfsburg offers various guided tours and tours that explain the architecture and urban planning as well as illustrating the historical context in which they were created.
