Legal basis for the processing of personal data
Processing operations in which personal data are obtained on the basis of the data subject's consent shall be carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In the case of processing of personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Article 6(1)(b) DSGVO serves as the legal basis. This also applies to data processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.
A collection and processing of data for the fulfillment of legal obligations is carried out in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. c DSGVO.
If vital interests of the data subject or another natural person make processing of personal data necessary, Article 6(1)(d) DSGVO serves as the legal basis.
Furthermore, the collection and processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller, pursuant to Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. e DSGVO.
What data is collected?
Each time a user accesses a page of the City of Wolfsburg's online offering and each time a file is retrieved, this data is temporarily stored in a log file. The following data is recorded and stored until automated deletion:

Purpose of processing
The processing of this data is carried out for the following purposes:
