The City of Wolfsburg is responsible for the transportation of school-age pupils who are resident or ordinarily resident in Wolfsburg. The mileage limits set out in the statutes are used as the basis for checking eligibility.
In principle, a distinction is made between transport on regular services (collective school season ticket) and transport for impaired pupils on exempted school transport.
All eligibility criteria for transportation can be found in the statutes:

Collective Pupil Time Card Procedure
The school automatically sends the necessary student data to the School Division. Only after the pupil's data has been transmitted and checked in the program is eligibility apparent.
Eligible students receive their ticket by mail from Wolfsburger Verkehrs GmbH (WVG) at the end of the summer vacations. If an application is made during the course of the school year, the student will receive the collective student season ticket in a timely manner.
All students have the right to use the public transport system. This is independent of whether a transport entitlement arises from the pupil transport statutes.
If there is no free transportation entitlement, however, all students or their legal guardians are free to purchase single, multiple trip or monthly tickets from the transportation company.
If required, a monthly student ticket (30 Euro ticket) can be purchased from the WVG. Further information on all tickets is available from WVG.

Loss of the collective student time card
In case of loss of the collective student time card provided free of charge, please contact the school secretary's office. The transitional ticket and information on the further procedure can be obtained there.
Company internship
Students are also entitled to transportation for internships in certain grades. It should be noted that when using public transport, only the lowest student fares are reimbursed. For a two- or three-week internship, for example, the 30-euro monthly student ticket is the best option. For one-week internships or weekly visits to vocational schools, single or multiple-ride tickets can be purchased. Student transportation costs are only reimbursed upon application and presentation of the original tickets. Further information can be found in the application.
In the case of internships outside of Wolfsburg, a decision will be made on a case-by-case basis. The application for reimbursement must be submitted to the school before the start of the internship with detailed reasons.
Note: Students who are in possession of a collective student season ticket can use the ticket within Wolfsburg and will not be reimbursed for travel costs.
Transportation of students with disabilities
Students who need transportation due to a permanent or temporary impairment are entitled to free transportation between home and school. Parents must submit an application with a medical certificate to the school division in order to receive free transportation. In addition, the City of Wolfsburg can order a medical examination by a public health officer. This also applies if students are temporarily unable to walk to school or use public transportation (e.g. broken leg, surgery, school accident).
Exempted school transportation is provided by regular minibuses, passenger cars and special wheelchair vehicles. Exempted school transport is to be compared with public bus transport (no cab).
Applications can also be obtained directly from the school office.
