Barbecues on private property are generally not subject to any special restrictions, but the neighbors must not be disturbed.

Barbecuing is prohibited on public roads and in public areas outside of designated areas (as is the setting of open fires).

Barbecues in Allerpark possible all year round Test phase was well received

Due to the positive results of the test phase, barbecuing in the Allerpark will be permanently permitted all year round in five specially designated areas around the Allersee.

Last year, areas in the Allerpark were approved for barbecuing from May to October by council resolution. The city had equipped the five specially designated areas with ash bins, which were marked with information about the barbecue area and important barbecue rules.

The test phase went extremely well. There was no relevant additional waste or increased noise. Only twice were barbecues and garbage left behind. Waste was occasionally disposed of in the ash bins. User reactions were positive.

There are four municipal barbecue areas:

Mörse Manor Park

• Use of the barbecue area is at your own responsibility
• Use only between 10:00 o'clock and 22:00 o'clock for maximally 3 hours
• Open fire is not allowed
• Only use commercially available barbecue charcoal - do not use fire accelerants
• Dispose of charcoal residues only in the designated container
• Avoid music and other noise
• Place must be left clean
• Driving on the green area is not allowed
