KlimaCube
The KlimaCube is a sensor box developed by the city of Wolfsburg to measure various environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, particulate pollution and noise in real time. This enables the city of Wolfsburg to expand its climate and environmental data. As an important part of the "Resilient Wolfsburg" project, the KlimaCube will help to develop data-based climate measures and measure their success. This allows current conditions and changes in the urban environment to be displayed and analyzed.
In a joint pilot project with the public order office, we are using the KlimaCube to analyze the effects of a temporary speed reduction from 50 to 30 km/h on noise pollution in the district of Kästorf. These findings can be used to derive specific noise protection measures for the local population.
