Fallersleben mobility lab
The Fallersleben mobility laboratory project is a real-world laboratory with a local focus on Fallersleben. In the real-world laboratory, digital technologies and methods of data collection for the mobility sector are tested in real-life operation. For example, sensors are installed at a junction in Fallersleben to measure the flow of traffic in real time. The development of a solid data basis for evaluating traffic and parking volumes is intended to help urban decisions (for example in traffic and urban planning) to be made in a targeted and needs-oriented manner in the future. The use of sensor technology for targeted traffic measurement at strategic junctions and the analysis of innovative mobility data is therefore an important step in the context of Smart City Wolfsburg.
