"Mental health in focus"

Lectures on mental illnesses offered by the social psychiatric service

Welcome to "Mental Health in Focus" - our range of lectures dealing with mental illness. With our short presentations, we would like to offer an opportunity to shed light on various aspects of mental health in a compact form and to develop an understanding of the often invisible challenges that can go hand in hand with it.

Our aim is to break down prejudices and raise awareness of mental health in society. By creating an atmosphere of exchange and allowing new perspectives, we can help to raise the profile of mental health in our society.

In our short presentations, we deal with various topics such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders and many more. In addition to the medical aspects, the content also covers prevention and treatment options as well as possible offers of help.

The talks last between 30 and 45 minutes and are free of charge. They are intended to provide an introduction to the topic and are suitable for companies, institutions or group offers, for example.

We offer short presentations on the following topics:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder
  • Bipolar disorders
  • Dementia and migration
  • Depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Non-suicidal self-harm
  • Schizophrenia
  • Homelessness
  • Workshop on "Resilience for parents" (as part of the AWHINA project)

Further presentations are in the pipeline. If you have any special requests, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please submit your request for a short lecture at least three weeks in advance. For individual topics, please allow more time in advance.
