BAzwo Burg Neuhaus studio community

Das Logo des M2K Das Logo der BAzwo

Alongside Wolfsburg Castle, Neuhaus Castle - owned by the city since 1981 - is a cultural hotspot that focuses on modern art. Wolfsburg artists and guest artists from Germany and abroad have been enlivening the historic moated castle since 2000.

A community has developed from the current castle artists, supervised by the Kulturwerk im M2K. All of them contribute their rich artistic experience. In this way, the group acts as a catalyst and provides new impetus for all participants. But the studio community is also active externally. All members open their studios and give visitors an insight into the artistic creative process - whether painting, graphics, drawings, photography, digital and object art.

In addition to the solo exhibitions, they regularly showcase the creative potential of the castle with a joint presentation.

As hosts, they regularly invite national and international artists to exhibit their current works. With these activities on various levels, the artists' group is a wonderful ambassador for Wolfsburg's culture and contributes to Burg Neuhaus becoming a cultural highlight.

  • Tim Dalhoff

    Tim Dalhoff

As a photographer, Tim Dalhoff grew up with analog and digital technology and is familiar with both.

His work encompasses industrial advertising technology. He also uses photography to express himself artistically - an exciting symbiosis of both worlds with a love of detail and structure.

  • Bettina Hackbarth

Bettina Hackbarth Creation, my dreams and moods are my inspiration. I often work in detail, mostly in acrylic on canvas. Sometimes the representational in its detail becomes something new. Sometimes it is the movement that I want to show and that speaks in the moment.

  • Yoko Haneda

Yoko Haneda I have been working for a long time on the moment of the transition of perception. In the series "hidden surface" I began to make a moment of perception perceptible between the visible surface and the hidden object.

Rosi Marx Paintings, collages and objects
In the "second life" of objects, photographs, text and image fragments, Rosi Marx transfers what has become unimportant and useless to us into a wonderful surreal world in which everything is possible and can be rethought.

  • Volker Veit

    Volker Veit

My work is fed by the fragments of life around me and my interests in literature, contemporary dance and music. I don't believe in the artist who creates something timeless out of himself without external influences. Every work carries within it the person who created it, who is rooted in his time.

  • Walter Winter

Walter Winter Printmaking is my central field of work. The spontaneous unpredictability of the monotype plays an important role in the multifaceted creation of images. Shaping and structuring on my part is modified by the printing process and creates the basis for variations that are still to be discovered. Each print is an autonomous work, a unique piece. In my sculptures and installations, I work closely with a theme
or refer to philosophical questions. In a narrative presentation, the aim is to open up unexpected perspectives for the viewer or to stimulate new thoughts and insights.
