We create the necessary open spaces and open situations and develop the Städtische Galerie into a place of communicative encounters where everyone is welcome with their experiences.

We accept the autonomy, competence and social integration of our visitors as well as their differences in terms of age, origin, motivation, interest and knowledge. Through dialog, we look for points of contact in order to initiate joint learning processes.

A key feature of our program is the intensive collaboration with artists who, as producers of art, have a different view of the works and can communicate more directly and vividly from an artistic perspective. Processual and experimental forms of art education are tested as part of participatory projects and cross-age programs. The citizens' workshop in the Remisen provides workshop rooms that offer optimal conditions for creative implementation with materials and group work, but also enable the presentation of results.
