Marriage certificate

In certain countries, a certificate of no impediment to marriage is required to get married.

Requirements for applying for a certificate of no impediment to marriage at the registry office of the city of Wolfsburg:

• The citizen is resident in Wolfsburg and

• has German citizenship

Or:
If the current place of residence is abroad, the last place of residence must have been Wolfsburg.

The Certificate of Marriage Ability is valid for six months after issuance.

The issuance of a certificate of marriageability is possible only by appointment.
