Declaration of commitment

  • General information

    When applying for a visa, in many cases it is necessary to submit a declaration of commitment to the Foreigners' Registration Office for your visit from abroad. This declaration is issued upon request. In it, you undertake to pay for any costs that may arise.

  • Requirements

    To the online application for the declaration of commitment

    A personal visit to pick up the declaration is then required. Representation is not possible! If the declaration of commitment is not recognized, you must pay a processing fee in the same amount.

  • Required documents

    Standard requirements:

    Current proof of income of the monthly family net income. This can be:

    • the last 3 payslips
    • Certificate from the tax advisor
    • In the case of self-employed persons, the current business management analysis (BWA)
    • Current pension statement

  • Fees

    The administrative fee is 29.00 euros, which must also be paid in the event of a rejection.

  • Special opening hours

    Only after appointment reservation.

    An appointment to submit a declaration of commitment is not required for applications submitted online. We will contact you to arrange an appointment to collect the certificate.

    An appointment reservation is therefore only required for people who are unable to submit an online application.
