Wolfsburg sees the participation of its citizens as an important prerequisite for a sustainable and citizen-friendly city. With the MeinWolfsburg project, a digital platform for citizen participation and volunteering has been created, on which all information, participation opportunities and offers for volunteering are made available in a bundled form. Citizens can use the platform, for example, to participate online in planning processes, take part in campaigns or place offers and searches in the area of volunteering on a marketplace. The platform provides information on politics and democracy in Wolfsburg at both a city-wide and local level. In the so-called "defect reporter", any damage noticed, such as defective traffic lights or damaged sidewalks, can be reported directly.
