Prostitute protection advice
(Section 10 ProstSchG)
The Prostitutes Protection Act, which has been in force since 01.07.2017, is intended to offer people in this trade better protection. These are:
- Health protection,
- protection from violence,
- the exercise of their own rights,
- sexual self-determination.
The mandatory consultation at the public health department takes place before the commercial registration at the public order office. Registration takes place in the city in which you work most of the time.
The consultation covers the following points
- Health advice on diseases,
- Contraception, pregnancy,
- Risks of drug and alcohol abuse.
Documents required:
- Identification document, for example identity card, passport or residence permit
Counseling is subject to confidentiality and must be carried out every 6 months for persons under 21 years of age and every 12 months for persons over 21 years of age.
Please note: There must be no more than 3 months between the consultation at the public health department and the registration at the public order office.
