Returning borrowed media is generally possible throughout the entire system. In addition, the library card is required to use the online lending service, the various databases (Munzinger, Library Press Display etc.) and the interlibrary loan service, which we use to obtain media from other libraries that cannot be found in the Wolfsburg City Library's media collection. If borrowed media are returned late or lost, all users must pay mandatory late fees, compensation for damages or other special user fees.

You can reserve borrowed items and have them brought to a library location of your choice within Wolfsburg: online (online catalog, by e-mail, by telephone or directly at all locations of the library system with the library staff. You will also need a valid BildungshausCard and your personal password for online bookings. You can find out the pre-set password at the respective locations, where you can also have it changed individually. You will be notified as soon as your desired medium is available at the desired location, where you can then collect it within a total of 5 working days. A fee of 1.00 Euro is payable on collection.

  Individual groups with special usage requirements, such as study groups and study groups, can also receive individual loan periods by arrangement.

You can extend the loan period of your borrowed media a total of two times on site or by telephone on 05361 28-2530, by e-mail to stadtbibliothek@bildungshaus-wolfsburg.de or via the online catalog, provided they have not been pre-ordered by other users. You should do this before the loan period expires, otherwise a late fee will be charged on the first opening day after the loan period expires.
