The daycare center (Kita) is located in the new Steimker Gärten district, between Steimker Berg and Nordsteimke. Up to 113 children between the ages of 1 and 6 can attend the facility.

In the Kita Steimker Gärten everything is focused on the children, but due to the unique location in the middle of the senior quarter Wolfsburg, it is important to us to live a good togetherness. A core aspect of the concept is to create a variety of contacts between the generations, to experience the world together in wonder, to take journeys through time with pictures and stories, and to create new friendships.

Our facility

We work in an open concept according to the Early Excellence approach. This allows each child to develop freely according to their strengths and talents. We strive to adapt the rooms to the needs of the children so that the functional areas offer optimal learning and development opportunities for all children. The reference teachers accompany the children and their families through the kindergarten time and are always available with advice and support. We see ourselves as an important part of the neighborhood and enjoy participating in its life.

The daycare center (Kita) in the city center is located in the heart of Wolfsburg. Up to 113 children between the ages of 1 and 6 can attend the facility.

Our facility

The premises of the kindergarten are designed in the sense of open work. The children encounter the themes of our city in the play and functional rooms. The location offers all children short distances to other places in the city, which provide further opportunities for playing and learning.

Together with you

Parents are the first point of reference and we see them as experts on their children. A regular exchange is very important to us. The Kita in der City offers discussions and opportunities for parents to help shape processes at the Kita.

We live cultural diversity.

The individuality of each child determines the pedagogical work and is at the same time a child's right. The right to uniqueness and other UN children's rights such as the rights to care, health, education or the right to play connect cultures around the world and are integrated into the daily routine at our daycare center.

Language is fundamental for togetherness and learning. In the Kita hinter den Gärten, children are strengthened in their mother tongue and multilingualism is promoted.

Our facility

The daycare center behind the gardens offers space for 75 daycare and 50 kindergarten children. In two nest groups, children under the age of one are already lovingly cared for. The kindergarten is set up according to the open concept, and personal skills such as creativity, the joy of discovery and learning are stimulated in the functional areas. The cultural diversity is reflected throughout the building and the outdoor area.

The Child and Family Center (KiFa) on the Ring offers not only childcare but also a wide range of opportunities for meeting, information and education for all families from the Westhagen district. Up to 113 children between the ages of 1 and six are cared for in crèche and kindergarten groups.

The daycare center (Kita) an den Teichen is located in the Detmerode district in close proximity to nature. 120 children between the ages of 1 and 6 can attend the facility.

Learning with head, heart and hand in connection with nature

At the Kita an den Teichen, the children engage with nature and its phenomena in a playful, exploratory and creative way. The children can go on a daily journey of discovery at the daycare center, the direction and pace of which is determined by each child. Beyond living and learning in the daycare center, we explore the green oases of Detmerode with the children.

The rooms of the Kita an den Teichen are designed in the spirit of open work. The children are free to choose their place of play and their play materials. The rooms are explored by the children and changed again and again - so your child can discover the day care center again and again.

The Vorsfelde Child and Family Center (KiFa) is located in the district of Vorsfelde on Carl-Grete-Strasse. Up to 155 children between the ages of 1 and 6 visit the facility.

Healthy and Fit

Healthy nutrition as a focus is reflected by the use of mostly organic products at meals. Nutritional education plays a special role in everyday life at KiFa Vorsfelde. Movement as a further focus is made possible and promoted by an indoor movement area, water familiarization and psychomotor activities.

KiFa Vorsfelde actively cooperates with parents and offers regular discussions and various opportunities for participation.

Diverse offers

The daycare center (Kita) an der Schunter is located in the middle of the village of Hattorf on the southern, rural edge of the city of Wolfsburg. Up to 50 children between the ages of 3 and 6 can attend the facility.

The village life is varied: Traditionally, there is a lively club and cultural life close to home. The sports club, the volunteer fire department, the elementary school, the local businesses such as the nursery and the cultural associations offer a wide variety of meeting places. In addition, the private living space and the rural location with meadows, floodplains and natural spaces inviting to discovery form the formative living space of a grown village community. They are an immediate living environment and thus a space of experience for the first steps of development and education. We fit in, are part of and use this for our daily work in the day care center by exploring the different facets of this rural living space together with your child.

The "Kita an der Schule" is located in the immediate vicinity of the "Kita in der City" in Wolfsburg's city center. Up to 83 children between the ages of 1 and 6 can attend the facility.

Our facility

Our daycare center offers children the opportunity to shape their day with us according to their needs and interests over two floors. The Early Excellence approach with its open concept and the attractively designed functional rooms pave the way for the children to have a variety of self-determined learning and development opportunities. All rooms in the building are continuously adapted to the children's current themes.

Research

Encouraging and supporting the children's natural curiosity and exploratory behavior is a large part of our in-house focus on "research". The children are provided with various materials throughout the house to encourage them to experiment. We support the children in pursuing their own research questions and finding answers to their questions. The planning and implementation of projects and the associated documentation are just as important to us as the linguistic accompaniment to support the children's communicative skills and the expansion of their vocabulary.
