Streetlife is an interdisciplinary and equally staffed specialist service for crime prevention in the youth sector and is made up of employees from the police, the Prevention Department of the Youth Division and the Citizens' Services Division of the City of Wolfsburg. The focus is on outreach work in places frequented by young people. If necessary, Streetlife intervenes here with a mediating dialog between all parties involved with the aim of reducing social conflicts in public.
Streetlife is also the point of contact for questions relating to the legal protection of minors. The team's interdisciplinary, community-based work focuses on youth protection checks, test purchases, workshops and prevention in schools, for example on topics such as bullying, fear avoidance, aggression and violence, also in direct cooperation with the City of Wolfsburg's crime prevention management. As part of these activities, young people are also offered individual counseling on the subject of violence.
