Since 2011, the city of Wolfsburg has been supporting children's and family centers - there are now eleven of them, from Nordstadt to Detmerode. In each case, families from their own kindergarten and families from the district are invited to various groups and meeting points, as well as to counseling services. We focus in particular on families with children of pre-school age.

One important offer is the Growing Together groups, which invite parents with children aged 0 to 3 to play together and support them in their development. There are various parent breakfasts and leisure activities where parents can get to know each other and develop friendships that are a great support in everyday family life. Targeted parent meetings are also offered on topics such as children's sleep, nutrition and setting boundaries to give parents more security in their day-to-day parenting. All coordinators are familiar with the various advice and support services available in Wolfsburg and can advise parents with questions and refer them to specialist advice centers.

In order to make the services offered by the family centers known to all families, play and contact offers are made several times a year in public places such as playgrounds.
