Climate protection subconcept Climate-friendly mobility

Climate protection sub-concept "Climate-friendly mobility

The city of Wolfsburg has drawn up a plan to make urban traffic more climate-friendly. The first step is to draw up a baseline balance for the year 2010 in order to determine the traffic-related CO2 emissions in the city of Wolfsburg.

The concept then provides for the calculation of two scenarios. The reference scenario includes general economic, social and technical trends and takes into account the impact of energy and climate policy action at the level of the European Union, the federal government and the state of Lower Saxony up to the year 2030.

In addition to the assumptions from the reference scenario, the climate protection scenario also takes into account the impact of the City of Wolfsburg's climate protection policy.

The work on the funded climate protection sub-concept "Climate-friendly mobility" for the city of Wolfsburg took place between June 2013 and March 2014.
