The process pilots
The City of Wolfsburg's procedural guides advise, accompany and support
- children
- adolescents
- young adults
with impending or existing disabilities and their families.
They will help you to find the right help as quickly as possible and to find your way through the wide range of services offered under participation and integration assistance law and to assert your entitlement to benefits. They will accompany you throughout the entire process, from the application to the granting of assistance and beyond.
The procedural guides are part of the Youth division, but act independently. The support they offer is tailored to the needs and wishes of their clients.

Tasks and offers
The procedural guides advise young people with (potential) disabilities and their families on the following topics:
- What rights do I have?
- What help/benefits can I apply for?
- Where can I apply for benefits?
- What legal steps can I take if my application is rejected?
They provide support with:
- applying for benefits: How and where do I submit my application? What documents and forms do I need? How do I formulate my needs and wishes?
- Meetings with the authorities can be accompanied at the client's request
- Those entitled to benefits can also prepare for the interviews in advance with the procedure guide
- Once the application has been approved, they provide support in the search for a suitable provider of assistance
They accompany you:
- You throughout the entire process: From the moment they identify a need for help to the approval of the application and beyond
- At your request, the process guides will take part in discussions and appointments with the authorities or independent providers (service providers).
The services offered by the guides are voluntary. You can contact them at any time if you need help. You decide when you want to involve them. They will support you throughout the entire process or advise you on individual topics, for example if you have questions about making an application or if an application is rejected.
The procedure pilots cannot decide on applications, but are available to you as confidants.
