The city of Wolfsburg offers a variety of types of graves. You can choose between burial sites for coffins or urns, burial sites for several coffins/urns, burial sites for which you as the purchaser are responsible for maintenance, burial sites for which the city takes over maintenance for a fee, burial sites without marking and burial sites with marking by means of a name stone.
There is a Muslim burial ground at the North Cemetery. Star children can be buried at the St. Annen cemetery.
All relevant information on the different types of graves can be found on the following page.
When you decide on a type of grave, you are committing yourself for a long time. It is therefore important to find out exactly what the general conditions are.
All relevant information on grave care can be found on the following page
The cost of a burial depends on the type of grave site selected and the services to be provided by the cemetery administration in connection with the burial. For each gravesite, certain services are mandatory. These include the purchase of the gravesite, the execution of the burial including support services, the initial preparation of the grave site, if necessary with slab edging and uniform memorial or a share of the costs for the central memorial stone, the maintenance of the gravesite and its subsequent leveling, and for certain types of graves also the costs for the inscription plate.
The costs for these services are the so-called obligatory costs, which have to be paid to the city of Wolfsburg. In addition to the obligatory services, there are services that you can decide to use. These include, for example, the use of the chapel, the costs for inscription plates on central memorial stones of gravesites without marking, as well as the costs for cushion stones and inscription plates for elective urn gravesites under trees.

After the occurrence of a death, a funeral director can take over many ways and services. For you as the relatives of the deceased, the question arises as to which type of burial and which gravesite you should choose. The following considerations are particularly important:
- Where would you like to be buried?
- Should it be a burial or cremation?
- Should a new gravesite be purchased or is there a family grave in which you would like to be buried?
- Are there other relatives to be buried in the gravesite?
- Should it be a gravesite without a marker (under the green lawn)?
- Do the bereaved need a "visible" place of mourning?
- Can the grave maintenance be ensured?
- What are the financial possibilities?
