Information on payment transactions with SEPA

The city of Wolfsburg also introduced the Single Euro Payments Area - SEPA for short - in 2013 to create a single euro payments area.

A total of 53,000 existing direct debit authorizations were affected by the introduction of SEPA. These relate to the payment of property taxes, dog tax, school lunch money, kindergarten fees and many other recurring payments.

Under SEPA, it has become necessary to issue a SEPA mandate for direct debit collection. Certain formal requirements and formulations must be observed when issuing the mandate. Therefore, it is necessary to submit a specified form with a signature to the Stadtkasse Wolfsburg. The person concerned must complete the SEPA mandate form, sign it personally and send it to the Stadtkasse Wolfsburg.
