DAS WEST invites you to an open day on 24.05.2025 from 12:00 to 16:00 under the motto "Colorful, open, international!"!
Experience a varied program, designed by the diverse providers of the house and international associations of the city. Discover exciting offers, get to know committed people and immerse yourself in the cultural diversity that our city has to offer. Whether it's music, culinary delights or hands-on activities - there's something for everyone here.

DAS WEST - House of encounter and diversity
DAS WEST as a house of encounter and diversity at Laagberg offers space for exchange, joint learning and active participation. People from Wolfsburg find an open environment here to make new contacts, further their education and realize their own projects.
Our aim is to create a lively place where the neighborhood is actively shaped. Whether through cultural events, language courses, advisory services or hands-on projects - DAS WEST offers a wide range of opportunities to get involved and positively shape the coexistence of urban society.
In addition to fixed offers, DAS WEST is also open to your own initiatives. Anyone who has an idea for a project or event is welcome to contact us. Together, we want to create a meeting place that strengthens diversity and promotes community.

Offers
DAS WEST offers a wide range of events, advice opportunities and open meeting formats. The integration department's open meetings are a permanent feature, offering all interested parties a space for exchange and networking. In addition, various clubs and groups use the center for cultural and community activities. In addition, there are regular counseling services offered by external providers, including Flüchtlingshilfe Wolfsburg e.V., the AWO project "Aktiv in Arbeit" and the pregnancy counseling service of the Diakonisches Werk des Kirchenkreises Wolfsburg/Wittingen.

Space for ideas and encounters
DAS WEST provides a versatile infrastructure for various event formats. Whether workshops, courses, cultural events or collaborative work - our premises offer the perfect setting.
The available rooms include creative rooms, a large hall, classrooms, a cozy lounge, two fully equipped kitchens and a co-working space. This creates ideal conditions for education, exchange and creative projects.
Interested associations, groups and initiatives can book and use the rooms by prior arrangement.

DAS WEST is designed to be barrier-free so that as many people as possible can use the premises. Although there are stairs, they are equipped with a stair lift to make access easier. There is also a low-barrier toilet. We are committed to continuously making the center even more accessible.

WHEN: Depending on availability, the premises can be rented daily from Monday to Sunday from 08:00 to 22:00.
WHO:
- Registered associations and institutions
- Volunteers who offer an open offer or a course
- Municipal employees for events or appointments
Migrant associations in particular should find space here for their international and transcultural work. The rooms may not be used for party political events.
FOR WHAT:
Whether (intercultural) events, service meetings, team events, meetings or conferences - we offer you the right space. Let's find the ideal place for your project together!"
