The lower building supervision

If you have any questions about a building project or the buildability of a plot of land.

We will be happy to advise you and, as the lower building supervisory authority, are the responsible body for the necessary building permits. Possible problems can often be resolved in advance. This can save you a lot of time and unnecessary costs.

In addition to the application acceptance team, teams A and B take care of building advice in the respective districts and neighborhoods. Team C is the point of contact for special buildings and Team D takes care of monument and townscape conservation. The Administration team is, among other things, the point of contact for information on building charges and building charge registrations.

We are happy to inform you on our website about building application procedures, building notifications and projects that do not require a procedure. However, if you have any questions about a specific building project, we will be happy to advise you in person at the Bau-Bürger-Büro.

Note

From 01.01.2024, the Lower Building Supervisory Authority will also offer the submission of applications in electronic form in accordance with Section 3a (1) NBauO (Lower Saxony Building Code). This is not yet technically possible. We will inform you here about further developments. The submission of paper documents is still possible in accordance with Section 3a (2) NBauO.
