Important information about the guideline child day care from 01.08.2022

As of 01.08.2023, the Youth Division, Early Childhood Education Department has taken over the full scope of child day care services in Wolfsburg. The commissioning of Familienservice Wolfsburg GmbH will end accordingly.

Organizationally, the city of Wolfsburg is repositioning itself in the field and taking over the tasks of

• Advice and placement for parents,
• professional advice and support for childminders,
• Qualification and further training of childminders,
• issuing care permits and ongoing checks on the personal suitability of childminders,
• Promotion and safeguarding of substitution models,
• Granting ongoing cash benefits for childminders
• Determination of parental contributions for child day care

The city of Wolfsburg thus follows the organizational model of most municipalities in Lower Saxony for the field of child day care.

Familienservice Wolfsburg e.V. will continue to represent the interests of childminders. In addition, Familienservice Wolfsburg gGmbH will continue to operate as a recognized provider for large family nests (GFN) with permanent employment models and with the Kaleo offer in the field of early childhood education.
