General information
If you want to fish in open waters in Germany, you need a valid fishing license in addition to the permission of the owner or tenant. The fishing license is valid for life in Lower Saxony and also entitles you to fish in the other federal states.

- Application for the issue of a fishing license
Representation for persons unable to attend is possible in fishing license matters. Additionally required by proxy
- informal, signed power of attorney
- legible copy instead of ID
- ID of the representative
The required documents can be posted in the letterbox in front of Town Hall A at any time.

Deadlines
Dropping the required documents in the mailbox in front of City Hall A is possible at any time, otherwise by appointment.

Special features
For most waters, a fishing permit is also required. These are issued by the authorized persons (fishing rights holder, fishing cooperative, fishing leaseholder) for the water in question.
