Carsten Fock "La creazione degli animali after Tintoretto!"
Carsten Fock's central medium is painting, the technical possibilities of which he constantly explores anew. He does not shy away from experimentation, whereby the boundaries between abstract, gestural-expressive painting and figuration remain in limbo. His works are always charged with thematic and self-reflective references and pose questions or raise problems. For the rooms of the Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg, Carsten Fock (*1968) has developed a spatial installation whose visual interplay between exhibition object and exhibition architecture irritates the usual ways of seeing. In his works, he repeatedly combines text with image, exploring a wide variety of themes from history, pop culture, art, fashion, advertising and politics
Carsten Fock studied at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and the Städelschule Frankfurt am Main.
