Braunschweig, Wolfenbüttel and Wolfsburg cooperate
The municipal hospitals in Braunschweig, Wolfenbüttel and Wolfsburg are working hand in hand to further develop healthcare in our region. At a meeting, Wolfenbüttel's mayor Ivica Lukanic, Braunschweig's mayor Thorsten Kornblum and Wolfsburg's mayor Dennis Weilmann and the managing directors of the hospitals discussed the upcoming hospital reform and the application for planned federal funding.
The hospitals in Wolfenbüttel, Wolfsburg and Braunschweig have been working closely together since 2022. This cooperation is now being further expanded with the aim of securing healthcare for citizens in the future and developing the locations in the three cities in line with demand in municipal hands. By joining forces and using innovative cooperation models, we are facing up to the challenges of the reform and ensuring the best treatment options for the people in our region.
