The sports division of the city of Wolfsburg can look back on a successful summer of outdoor swimming. A total of 193,341 guests visited Wolfsburg's outdoor pools between May 1 and September 15. The month with the highest number of visitors was August with a total of 64,080 guests. The season ended on September 15 with the last day of swimming at the VW pool.

"The attendance figures for our outdoor pools show that people enjoy going to the pools. I am delighted that we were able to keep the pools running smoothly this year, because all three outdoor pools are simply part of a great summer in Wolfsburg," summarizes Andreas Bauer, Head of Sports.

Broken down by the individual outdoor pools, 86,615 guests visited the Fallersleben outdoor pool, 83,398 the VW pool and 21,328 the Almke outdoor pool. Compared to 2023, the number of visitors developed positively (22.95 percent). The increase can mainly be explained by the fact that there were over 320 more hours of sunshine in 2024 than in 2023!

In the upcoming colder season, the Badeland and, since September 16, the indoor pools in Sandkamp and Heiligendorf invite you to swim and bathe, while the outdoor pools go into hibernation. All information and opening times can be found at wolfsburg.de/baeder.
