Musical museum tour
The Four Seasons in poems and songs by Hoffmann von Fallersleben
At the Hoffmann von Fallersleben Museum in the M2K this Saturday, November 23, Elke Schulz recalls the seasonal course of the year with poems and songs by Hoffmann von Fallersleben. On her musical tour of the museum, she will also talk about Hoffmann's fondness for spring, when nature awakens and all the birds are back. In summer, the poet enjoyed many an outdoor activity. The passionate Christmas fan enjoyed the "fruits" of the rich autumn harvests during the festive season. As a child, the early snowy winters offered him a variety of playtime pleasures. However, he never really "warmed up" to the dark and cold season. In Hoffmann's political poetry, it therefore became a symbol of his criticism of the authoritarian state of the time. The course of the seasons promises hope for improvement, as the grey of winter is always followed by the mildness, beauty and colorfulness of spring.
The event begins at 3:30 pm. Admission is: 3.50 euros, 3 euros for pensioners/senior citizens, 2.50 euros reduced, free for children up to 5 years, 8 euros family ticket and 5 euros combined ticket for a visit to the City Museum and the Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg.
