"International Orange Day"

Day against violence against women on November 25

The UN campaign "Orange the World" is a global campaign organized by UN Women to draw attention to violence against women and girls and to call for an end to these human rights violations.

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence on November 25, also known as "International Orange Day", marks the start of the campaign and December 10, International Human Rights Day, marks the end. During these 16 days, landmarks around the world will be lit up in orange to show solidarity and send a visible signal for women's rights.

Wolfsburg is also taking part with campaigns

Various events will be held in the city during the campaign period. The first event will be organized by the Equal Opportunities Department in cooperation with members of the Working Group against Domestic Violence. Together, they will be offering an information stand on November 27 on Rathausplatz in Porschestraße. On December 2 at 5 p.m., the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office will hold a lecture entitled "Criminal proceedings and me" at the Caritas meeting center Föhrenkrug (Pestalozziallee 3). The lecture will provide general insights and information on the course of criminal proceedings.
