Homeless people can use the forms provided to register on the electoral roll by February 2. The usual place of residence is specified in order to enable a corresponding constituency allocation. On election day, these people can then cast their vote at their polling station or alternatively apply for postal voting documents. We can also send the postal voting documents directly to the Carpe Diem day care center.
"It is very important to us to enable all people, regardless of their residential status, to take part in the Bundestag elections," emphasized City Councillor Andreas Bauer at the handover. "Democracy depends on as many people as possible casting their vote. With this offer, we are ensuring that homeless people are not excluded and can exercise their right to vote."
