Varied Easter holiday program
The City of Wolfsburg's youth development department can look back on a varied and extensive Easter holiday program for children and young people. To start with, a total of 20 children cooked soup over a campfire at the Buntspecht adventure playground. They also built insect hotels and booths. At the same time, 20 children experienced an exciting and educational vacation camp at the European Youth Farm Deetz in the Elbe-Elster region (Saxony-Anhalt). There they stroked calves, marveled at honey bees with a beekeeper and roasted marshmallows over a campfire. The popular night-time LAN party took place at the ASS youth center.
The second part of the vacation focused on vacation fun for children at the multi-generation house. Here, too, they cooked together and went on excursions. At the end of the Easter vacations, the Easter bonfires were lit at the youth development adventure playgrounds in Fallersleben, Westhagen and Vorsfelde. Throughout the vacations, the youth facilities opened their doors and offered situational daytime activities. Thanks to the support of the Margarete Schnellecke Foundation, children from financially weaker families also took part in the vacation activities.
