Your way into the municipal daycare centers - application process

The municipal KiTas are always on the lookout for pedagogical specialists, so you can apply at any time. You can also apply to us at any time as a specialist in training.

Application for management positions:

We can only offer positions as (deputy) managers if a corresponding position is vacant. Are you interested in working as a (deputy) KiTa manager? Then you can find more information here or search for suitable positions directly on the city of Wolfsburg's job portal.

Checking the application

We check whether we have received all the required information and whether your qualifications match our available positions. We will contact you if we have any questions.

Invitation to interview

If we are impressed by your application, we will invite you to a personal interview.

PS: There is no dress code, so it's best to dress as you feel comfortable in a work context. If in doubt, choose an outfit that you would also wear to work in the future

Job interview

In the interview, you can expect questions about your CV and technical questions. We will also ask you some key data such as possible starting date, number of hours and preferred daycare center. It is best to think about this in advance

To ensure that all interviews are fair, a member of the staff council will also take part in your interview alongside a KiTa manager and a member of the provider team. Please don't let this put you off: everyone is looking forward to getting to know you!

Job offer

If you convince us in the interview and meet all the requirements, we will check which facility has a vacancy that suits you and your preferences and will contact you with a job offer.

If you accept, the position must be approved by the Staff Council.

Your employment contract will then be drawn up and sent to you by post.

Start your new job!

As soon as we receive your signed employment contract, we will start preparing for your start at the municipal KiTas.

Your induction will include an onboarding week with exciting training sessions and opportunities to network with other new colleagues.
