The statements in a landscape framework plan (LRP) are based on an up-to-date survey and assessment of the protected assets: species and biotopes, soil, water, climate and landscape. As a central component of the LRP, the desired nature conservation and landscape management objectives and the measures required to achieve them are set out and justified within a target concept.
The LRP is a qualified working aid for clarifying a wide range of issues relevant to nature conservation and environmental protection and serves, among other things, as a basis for the designation of protected areas and the implementation of maintenance and development measures.
In accordance with Section 10 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG) in conjunction with Section 3 of the Lower Saxony Nature Conservation Act (NNatSchG), there is a legal obligation to draw up and update landscape framework plans.
The City of Wolfsburg is therefore currently working on updating the LRP.
Printed copies of the LRP can be viewed on request at the Lower Nature Conservation Authority.
