Paolo Brullo awarded the Order of Merit

Mayor Dennis Weilmann presents Paolo Brullo with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

A real reason to be proud! Mayor Dennis Weilmann presented Paolo Brullo with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. The award was presented at a ceremony in Wolfsburg Town Hall in the presence of Frank Morgner, Deputy Superintendent of the Evangelical Lutheran Church District of Wolfsburg-Wittingen, as well as representatives from politics and administration. The Order of Merit has been awarded by the respective Federal President, currently Frank Walter Steinmeier, to particularly committed people since 1951.

Paolo Brullo was a member of the "Consiglio Generale degli Italiani all'estero", an advisory body for the Italian government. He was also chairman of the Fernando Santi Wolfsburg cultural association. Here, Paolo Brullo gave Italian citizens in Wolfsburg the opportunity to experience Italian customs and traditions and also to exchange ideas with one another.

Paolo Brullo was also involved in the development of the "Living Diversity" integration concept by the City of Wolfsburg's integration department, helping to shape the city's intercultural development. He was also involved in the "Mano nella Mano" project to support newly arrived Italians.
