Traffic restrictions for the GTI Fanfest:

Better to use buses and bicycles

Visitors to the big GTI fan festival from July 26 to 28 around the Volkswagen Arena in Allerpark next weekend are better off traveling on foot, by bike or by bus. The city of Wolfsburg recommends this. There will be restrictions in the area around the stadium and on the plaza.

The Fitnessland and the Wobacabana will only be fully accessible from the north via the pedestrian bridge from the P3 parking lot until July 30. The VfL fan store and the service center are open. Please note that both can only be reached via the route behind the stadium back straight (east side).

Pedestrian and bicycle traffic is possible as follows due to the fencing of the event site:

From the north (Bundesstraße 188 underpass coming from Wolfsburg Castle): Use of the cycle/walking path ends in the Wobacabana area.
From the west (Berliner Brücke underpass): Use is only possible as far as the VfL Wolfsburg training ground.
From the east (Allersee, climbing park towards the stadium): The footpath/cycle path is available up to the level of the AOK stadium.
From the south (In den Allerwiesen): The stadium is not accessible. It is possible to use the road "In den Allerwiesen" - except on the three days of the event.
The following additional recommendations/restrictions apply for the GTI Fanfest event period from July 26 to 28:

The following parking lots are closed for the event and are only available for visitors with a ticket for the event:

Allerpark P1 and P2 (west of the stadium)
Allerpark P3
VW parking garage east.
The general public can use the other parking spaces in the Allerpark area (P4/Schützenplatz, P5 and P6). Due to the parallel event (Autostadt summer festival) and the expected high traffic around the Allersee, the city recommends using buses, walking or cycling.

The road "In den Allerwiesen" will be closed to private traffic on all three days of the event. Access is only permitted with a special permit.
