Registration of marriage

You want to get married? Congratulations! We are delighted that you have decided to say "I do" in Wolfsburg.

Before your marriage can take place, you and your future spouse must register the marriage in person. The Wolfsburg registry office is responsible for registering the marriage, provided that at least one of the two fiancées has their main or secondary residence in Wolfsburg.

Marriage registration can only be carried out by prior appointment.

In addition to valid identity documents, various documents are required for the registration of the marriage - depending on marital status, nationality and other personal circumstances.
